Domaine Drouhin Oregon
Philosophy
Robert Drouhin purchased 89 acres in the Dundee Hills in 1987, prompted by Eyrie's 1975 Pinot Noir out-performing his own wines in a 1979 Gault-Millau tasting. His daughter Véronique has been winemaker since the first vintage (1988). The operation applies Burgundian production discipline to Oregon pinot.
Reputation
Oregon's most internationally recognised Burgundy-owned estate; DDO's Laurène is cited as America's most Burgundy-analogous pinot noir by major critics.
