Cristom Vineyards

Paul Gerrie purchased the property in 1992 and hired Steve Doerner (former Calera winemaker, founder of Doerner's gravity-flow winery philosophy) as winemaker. Doerner's four single-block estate vineyards (Eileen, Marjorie, Louise, Jessie) are named for family members.

Eileen is the most structurally complex and age-worthy of Cristom's four block wines; Steve Doerner's philosophy of minimal intervention and gravity-flow processing is among Oregon's most rigorous.
