Bartolo Mascarello Barolo DOCG

Barolo DOCG, Italy
The most philosophically significant Barolo — an inter-communal blend vinified in large Slavonian oak casks without compromise. Pale garnet; extraordinary aromatic complexity of dried rose, tar, cherry, leather, and iron with orange peel on the finish. Maria Teresa Mascarello maintains her father's protocols without alteration. Available in minuscule quantities; requires 10 years minimum. Transcendent at 20–30 years.
complement
The traditional Langhe pasta with Barolo — the wine's Nebbiolo acidity and tannin cuts through the meat-and-butter filling; sage adds an herbal bridge to the wine's own herbal-mineral note.

complement
The most Piedmontese of all pairings — this ancient Torinese offal dish matches the wine's iron and leather complexity; a historically resonant combination that predates modern gastronomy.
