The Rattlesnake Hills' basalt-covered benches sit at higher elevation than the Yakima Valley floor, creating a distinct microclimate with excellent heat retention through the day and cooler nights that preserve aromatic complexity. The resulting Cabernet Sauvignon shows Washington's characteristic density and structure with additional mineral complexity from the volcanic substrate.
