The finest Premier Cru in all of Gevrey — often outperforming many Grands Crus. Rousseau's Clos Saint-Jacques (2.7 hectares, 7,000 bottles) is one of Burgundy's most consistently magnificent wines. Fresh red cherry, violet, forest floor, mineral iron, and a silkiness that belies its power. Aged 18 months in French barriques (20% new). Drinks magnificently from 8 to 25 years.
