Domaine Takahiko Nana-tsu-mori Pinot Noir Hokkaido GI

Hokkaido Wine Region, Japan
Japan's definitive Pinot Noir — from Domaine Takahiko's 3-hectare biodynamic estate on volcanic ash soils in Yoichi, Hokkaido. 100% whole-cluster fermented with indigenous yeast; aged 18 months in old French barriques. Transparent ruby; haunting red cherry, dried rose, white mushroom, volcanic ash mineral, and a delicate, persistent length. Burgundian in inspiration but distinctly Hokkaido in character — a wine of genuine world-class ambition. Production: ~2,400 bottles.
