About this product
From the legendary Wehlener Sonnenuhr (sundial) vineyard — the blue Devonian slate site above Wehlen that has produced benchmark Mosel Riesling for 200 years. Joh. Jos. Prüm's Spätlese is off-dry (halbtrocken character) with residual sweetness balanced by Mosel's electric natural acidity: pale green-gold with aromas of white peach, apricot, lime flower, and the distinctive petrol-slate minerality of old Devonian slate. The palate achieves the famous Mosel tension — sweetness and acidity in perfect equilibrium — with a finish that persists for minutes. An ageable wine for 20+ years.

Mosel Spätlese's off-dry richness and electric acidity are the classic German answer to Sauternes with foie gras — the wine's sweetness contrasts with the liver's fat while acidity provides relief
