Peter Jakob Kühn Oestricher Lenchen Riesling GG Rheingau

Rheingau Wine Region, Germany
The Rheingau's finest biodynamic Riesling — from the Oestricher Lenchen Grosses Gewächs on loess-loam soils above Oestrich. Indigenous yeast, no sulphur at crushing, minimal new oak. Pale gold; lime blossom, white peach, honey, ginger, and a waxy-mineral depth from biodynamic farming. More aromatic and immediately approachable than Berg Schlossberg; excellent at 3–12 years with excellent trajectory.
complement
Rheingau Riesling and German white asparagus is a hallowed spring combination — the wine's mineral freshness and citrus acidity cuts through the Hollandaise richness; Westphalia ham adds a savoury-smoky bridge.

complement
The Alsace-influenced flat bread with Riesling — PJK's mineral freshness and citrus-honey character cuts through the crème fraîche richness; lardon's smoke bridges; a quintessential Rhine Valley combination.
