Ornellaia, established by Lodovico Antinori in 1981, produces one of Italy's most internationally recognised Super Tuscans from a Bolgheri estate that combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc in a Bordeaux-inspired blend of exceptional elegance.
Reputation
Ornellaia is Italy's most successful Bordeaux-style blend after Sassicaia, consistently earning 96-100 point scores and commanding prices that rival Premier Cru Bordeaux. Its acquisition by the Frescobaldi family brought additional resources and the now-famous annual 'Vendemmia d'Artista' art label series.
