Williams Selyem Winery Russian River

Williams Selyem was founded by Burt Williams and Ed Selyem in 1981 and created California's first true cult wine mailing list. Now owned by John Dyson, the winery continues producing benchmark Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from vineyard designates including Rochioli, Allen, and Precious Mountain.

Williams Selyem changed American wine — their small-production, Burgundian-inspired Pinot Noir proved that California could make world-class cool-climate wine. The mailing list (years-long waits) and cult following established a new model for premium California wine production.
