Grace Winery Yamanashi
Philosophy
Grace Winery (Chuo Budoshu) has been the leading advocate for quality Koshu wine since the 1990s, working to demonstrate that Yamanashi's indigenous grape can produce world-class wine. Winemaker Manabu Miyaji spent time in Burgundy and Bordeaux, returning to apply European precision to Japan's unique indigenous variety.
Reputation
Grace Winery is Japan's most internationally acclaimed winery — their Koshu wines, particularly the Kayagatake and Private Reserve labels, have received international praise and helped establish Japan as a serious fine wine producing nation at London's Wine Fair.
