Schiopetto Collio Italy
Philosophy
Mario Schiopetto (1925–2003) was the founding father of the Friulian white wine revolution, introducing cold fermentation and single-variety bottling in the 1960s. The estate he founded remains Collio's benchmark for classical white wine precision.
Reputation
Collio's most historically significant estate; Schiopetto's Tocai Friulano set the template for Italian fine white wine in the 1970s and inspired a generation of northern Italian winemakers.
