Cantina Cinque Terre Cooperative

Cooperative of local Cinque Terre producers; the primary keeper of the ancient terrace viticulture tradition. Sustainable farming is existential — the cooperative maintains the stone wall terraces that would otherwise collapse. Bosco, Albarola, and Vermentino grown on near-vertical south-facing cliffs. Also produces the rare Sciacchetrà.

The Cantina Cinque Terre Cooperative is the guardian of one of the world's most extraordinary viticultural landscapes; without this cooperative the terraces would be abandoned as they were in mid-20th century. Their Cinque Terre DOC and Sciacchetrà preserve centuries of Ligurian wine culture.
