The reputation — the story that sells at the table
Yarden is the wine that proved Israel could produce premium-quality wine comparable to international standards; the 1984 Yarden Chardonnay winning Paris gold created Israel's modern wine industry. The Katzrin Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has become a Decanter World Wine Awards benchmark for the region.
Practice
Established 1983 on the Golan Heights by four kibbutzim; Israel's most internationally awarded winery. Altitude vineyards (1,200m) on basalt produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and the flagship Yarden single-vineyard range. Sustainable farming; kosher certified. Won Israel's first international gold medal at Gault-Millau competition Paris 1987.
