Small family producer in the Racha region; kvevri (clay amphora) winemaking for Khvanchkara and dry Aleksandrouli. Traditional semi-sweet Khvanchkara from Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli; also produces dry natural wine expressions of the same varieties. Preserving the endangered Khvanchkara tradition while adapting to natural wine export markets.
Reputation
Besini is among Racha-Lechkhumi's most quality-focused producers; their Khvanchkara and dry Aleksandrouli demonstrate that the region's indigenous varieties have far broader potential than Stalin-era semi-sweet reputation. Increasingly recognised by natural wine buyers internationally.
