Philosophy
Christophe Baron (born Champagne, France) discovered the Rocks District's cobble soils in 1997 and planted biodynamically, treating them as a Pacific Northwest Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Cayuse is the Pacific Northwest's most cult producer: tiny allocation, biodynamic certification, concentrated prices.
Reputation
The Rocks District's defining producer; Cailloux Syrah is among the Pacific Northwest's most coveted cult wines. Biodynamic from the first vintage, Baron's work defined PNW syrah's Rhône-identity claim.
