Valdespino

Valdespino traces its recorded history to 1264 and claims to be one of the oldest active wine producers in Spain. The estate's crown jewel is the Inocente single-vineyard Fino — the only Fino Sherry still fermented and aged in old American oak barrels (rather than stainless steel) from a single pagoda vineyard. The result is a Fino of incomparable complexity and depth.

Valdespino's Inocente Fino is universally acknowledged as the finest Fino Sherry in existence — a wine that has converted hundreds of sceptics to Sherry's greatest expression. The single-vineyard, barrel-fermented approach produces a wine of extraordinary saline, walnut, and chamomile complexity that has no peers in the denomination.
