Hacienda Durius

Hacienda Durius is Arribes DO's most ambitious estate — working with old Rufete and Juan García vines on granite canyon terraces using organic practices. The philosophy prioritises indigenous varieties over international ones, believing the extreme granite terroir of the Duero canyon produces wines of unique personality unavailable anywhere else in Spain.

Hacienda Durius has attracted attention from Spanish wine writers and sommeliers for demonstrating that Arribes's remote, forgotten vineyards can produce wines of genuine quality and identity. The Rufete's light, aromatic character and high acidity offer something genuinely different in a market dominated by Ribera del Duero's powerful Tempranillo.
