Moorooduc Estate

Mornington Peninsula GI, Australia
Dr. Richard McIntyre established Moorooduc in 1982 — one of the peninsula's founding estates. The winery produces the Moorooduc McIntyre Pinot Noir from the estate's own vineyards and the Wild Yeast Pinot Noir from a selection of outstanding peninsula parcels. The estate's philosophy: indigenous yeast fermentation, whole-cluster inclusion (25–30%), and old-vine concentration from the peninsula's mature vines.
Moorooduc is consistently rated among the top five Mornington Peninsula producers — the McIntyre Pinot Noir receives 94-97 points from James Halliday. The estate's combination of estate fruit and wild yeast fermentation produces wines of genuine Burgundian elegance. Halliday has awarded Moorooduc five consecutive 5-star ratings.
