Philosophy
Henry Jacqueson (now retired) and son Paul run one of the Côte Chalonnaise's finest domaines — farming 11 hectares across Rully, Mercurey, and Bouzeron with meticulous attention to terroir. The estate's Premier Crus (Grésigny, Chapitre, Raclet, Marissou) represent the best of Rully at consistently accessible prices. Indigenous yeast, minimal new oak, long lees aging for the whites.
Reputation
Jacqueson is consistently rated the finest domaine in Rully — receiving 92-95 points from Wine Advocate and Allen Meadows. Jancis Robinson has consistently recommended the estate as Burgundy's finest value-to-quality white wine proposition. The combination of Premier Cru terroir and modest pricing makes Jacqueson essential for value-focused Burgundy lovers.
