Collemassari is the leading estate of Montecucco and the primary force behind the region's DOCG upgrade campaign. The estate farms organically across extensive hillside vineyards at the foot of Monte Amiata, producing Sangiovese and blended wines of uncommon depth and site-specificity.

Collemassari is largely credited with putting Montecucco on the international wine map, demonstrating that volcanic Sangiovese from this corner of Tuscany can rival Montalcino at a dramatically lower price.
