Philosophy
Guy Bossard pioneered biodynamic viticulture in Muscadet from the 1970s and created the concept of soil-expression single-vineyard Muscadet through his granite, orthogneiss and gabbro cuvées. Now run by his successors, the domaine continues to produce the most intellectually rigorous Muscadet available.
Reputation
Domaine de l'Écu is Muscadet's most celebrated artisan estate — its geological single-vineyard cuvées defined a new category for the appellation and proved Muscadet could be a wine of genuine complexity and longevity.
