Comando G

Castilla y León VT, Spain
Fernando García and Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi established Comando G in 2008 to work with very old Garnacha vines in the Sierra de Gredos mountains on the border of Madrid and Castilla y León at 900–1,000 metres altitude. The estate produces wines of extraordinary freshness and mineral precision from ancient pre-phylloxera Garnacha on granite soils.
Comando G is one of Spain's most admired natural wine producers, demonstrating through its Sierra de Gredos Garnacha that old-vine alpine Spain can produce wines of Burgundy-like finesse and terroir specificity at the highest level.
