Mauro was founded by Mariano García — the legendary Vega Sicilia winemaker — after leaving that estate to produce Tempranillo outside the Ribera del Duero DO. The estate's Tudela de Duero vineyards produce old-vine Tempranillo and Garnacha of extraordinary depth, aged in French oak with the precision and care of their Vega Sicilia provenance.
