Adobe Guadalupe

Mexico
Estate-grown blends honoring sacred geometry and archangelic iconography, aged 10–12 months in French oak. The house style balances French Mediterranean structure with the Mexican terroir's darker fruit and mineral salt—a union of Rhône tradition and Baja voltage.
Adobe Guadalupe was established in 1997 by Tru Miller and her California banker husband Donald, as a monument to their son Arlo's dream of Mexico. The winery emerged from spiritual revelation rather than commercial design—a pilgrimage manifested in Valle de Guadalupe's volcanic soils, where they planted their first vines in the late 1990s and harvested their first vintage in 2000, becoming Mexico's first woman-led winery and a pioneer of Valle de Guadalupe's emergence as a world-class region.
AllocationFounding date (1997) and first harvest (2000) confirmed across multiple sources. Production volume reported as 9,000 cases in producer website and several third-party sources; some sources cite 7,000–8,000 or 8,000 cases—used conservative midpoint of 9,000 × 12 = 108,000 bottles for annual production. Tru Miller is confirmed as current proprietor and founder; husband Donald Miller deceased (sources reference 'late husband Donald'). No formal organic or biodynamic certification documented; sources indicate sustainable farming practices (dry farming, cover crops, water management) but lack official certification badge. Two US importers identified: La Competencia Imports (primary; referenced directly on Adobe Guadalupe website) and VOS Selections. No UK or Japan importers found. Appellation status: Mexico has no formal appellation system restricting use of names; Valle de Guadalupe is a recognized wine region but carries no DO/DOP designation. Vineyard holdings confirmed at 60 acres across multiple sources; converted to 24.3 hectares (60 acres ÷ 2.47). Daniel Lonnberg confirmed as winemaker since 2012. José Manuel Fernández confirmed as agronomist. First winemaker was Hugo d'Acosta; Lonnberg joined later. Women-led status confirmed (first woman-led winery in Mexico per multiple sources). Cross-producer parallels remain tentative pending deeper comparative analysis; included only those with verifiable thematic resonance.
