Azienda Agricola Gilberto Boniperti
Piedmont, Italy
Philosophy
Meticulous hand-tended vineyards at 250 metres elevation, with low-yield harvesting and selective curation. Carlin—100% Nebbiolo, 20 days maceration in stainless steel, tank-aged—achieves remarkable freshness and mineral definition: a lean, acid-driven expression of volcanic Colline Novaresi terroir, neither oaked nor manipulated.
Reputation
The Boniperti family has tended Alto Piemonte's Colline Novaresi for nearly a century; Gilberto, third-generation inheritor of grandfather Barton's vineyards, studied agriculture and enology at the University of Milan, then reclaimed and replanted the family holdings beginning in 2003, reviving abandoned terroir with scholarly rigour and hereditary devotion.
