Reputation

Bodegas Sierra Salinas was founded in 2000 by the esteemed Castaño family of Yecla, who recognised the singular terroir of the high-altitude Sierra de Salinas enclave near Villena. In 2013, the Miñano and Gómez families' MGWines Group acquired the estate and its gravity-flow winery (completed 2006), redirecting focus entirely toward organic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking.

AllocationFounded year discrepancy: sources cite both 2000 (Castaño family founding) and 2003 (Vinos Alicante regulatory listing, possibly referring to entity registration post-2006 facility opening). Winery facility opened 2006. Organic certification in process as of Regal Wine source (2014 data: expecting 2020 certification); current status is organic_practicing pending formal recertification verification.
