Côté Mas
France
Philosophy
Côté Mas represents terroir expression through precision blending of diverse Languedoc microclimates and soils. The house favors stainless steel and cement vessels to preserve fruit aromatics and acidity; sparkling wines employ traditional method at Limoux. Each varietal is vinified separately, then assembled with Jean-Claude Mas's signature blending discipline, taught by Giorgio Grai.
Reputation
Côté Mas emerges from the family legacy of Auguste Mas, who planted the first vines in 1892 near Pézenas. Jean-Claude Mas assumed the mantle in 2000, founding Domaines Paul Mas on his father's core conviction that Languedoc could rival the great regions—not through tradition alone, but through the fusion of ancestral knowledge and New World innovation.
