Domaine Sant Armettu

Corsica, France
Gilles Seroin draws inspiration from Burgundian models, employing light extraction and hand work with endemic Corsican varieties. Wines mature in foudres and demi-muids to refine tannin structure while preserving aromatic purity. The house seeks finesse of aroma over power of maturity.
Sant Armettu takes its name from a legendary Corsican hermit revered for healing with plants. Established in 1964 by Lucien and Paul Seroin, who arrived from Algeria, the estate overlooks the sculptural hillsides of southern Corsica, where granite and clay soils meet the maritime influence of the Gulf of Propriano and Bay of Tizzano.
AllocationProducer website is bilingual (French/English). Discrepancy: sources variously state vineyard establishment between 1964 (Seroin family settlement/clearing) and 1996 (commercial bottling began)—1964 used as founding year when land was first developed. Organic certification confirmed for 2021 per multiple sources (iDealwine, Sacred Thirst, press materials). Guillaume is described as fifth generation in Keeling Andrew material but fourth generation in other sources—may reflect different counting methods. Production volume not disclosed in available sources. Sacred Thirst Selections confirmed as US importer via ImportGenius customs records. Keeling Andrew confirmed as UK importer. Japan importer not identified. La Fontaine Vins listed as promoting agent for Canada (SAQ). | Importer overflow captured (importer_other): 'La Fontaine Vins & Liqueurs Inc. (Canada)'
