Domaine Serene
United States
Philosophy
Minimal-intervention gravity-flow winemaking emphasizing artful blending across micro-crus. Indigenous yeast fermentation, no fining or filtering in reserve bottlings, 30–40% new French oak from fifteen cooperages. Each vintage tracks hundreds of microsites through production to express terroir transparency.
Reputation
Domaine Serene was established in 1989 when Ken and Grace Evenstad, drawn by their passion for Burgundian Pinot Noir, purchased 42 recently logged acres atop the Red Hills of Dundee in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Named after their daughter Serene, the winery was intentionally structured as a 'Domaine' to honour the French tradition of estate-grown, terroir-driven wine production.
