Practice
Historic Rhône négociant house, founded in 1834. The legendary La Chapelle (Hermitage rouge) is named after the small chapel at the top of the Hermitage hill. The 1961 La Chapelle is considered one of the greatest wines of the 20th century — still extraordinary at 60 years of age. The Frey family purchased Jaboulet in 2006 after decades of commercial compromise, and quality has been dramatically restored under Jean-Luc Thunevin's guidance.
