Produttori di Manduria
Italy
Philosophy
Four centuries of Primitivo mastery through 400 member growers cultivating ancient bush vines on limestone-rich Salento soils. Leonardo Pinto's twenty-year stewardship respects varietal character and place: temperature-controlled fermentation in steel, selective oak aging for reserve cuvées. The result speaks of concentration and terroir—dark fruit, mineral length, Mediterranean warmth without excess.
Reputation
Founded in 1928 as a federation of enlightened growers and formalized as a cooperative in 1932, Produttori di Manduria stands as Puglia's oldest active wine cooperative and steward of Primitivo's redemption. Manduria—the heel of Italy's boot, blessed by sea-moderated warmth and limestone soils—is the native terroir where this early-ripening grape found apotheosis, earning its DOC in 1974.
