Jonathan and Susan Pey's formative years spanning Europe and California kindled an abiding vision: to marry Napa's fruit intensity with Old World discipline. In 2004, tasting their first Oakville Cabernet from barrel, Jonathan declared it "textbook Oakville Cab," and the name crystallized a philosophy: each wine expresses the quintessential qualities of its place, whether from the gravelly Vyborny and Holmes vineyards in prestigious Oakville or from select growers across the valley.
