Vega Tolosa pursues the purest expression of Bobal through minimal intervention in the vineyard and careful selection. Native yeasts guide fermentation; French oak and long élevage—up to 36 months for Gran Reserva sparkling—build complexity without masking the mineral, clay-limestone terroir at 750 metres elevation.
Reputation
The Tolosa family has tended vines in Casas-Ibáñez since 1905, but transformed their inheritance into a modern estate in 1998, when Juan Miguel Tolosa built a facility to bottle their own wines and commit entirely to organic farming. This act of reaffirmation—from bulk merchant to named producer—marked the moment the family name became forever attached to quality and authenticity.
