Michael Etzel (co-owner) is the brother-in-law of Robert Parker Jr.; co-founded 1990 with Parker's investment. Parker's early praise amplified Beaux Frères' profile; the wines have long since earned reputation independent of the celebrity association. Ribbon Ridge's exclusively Willakenzie marine sedimentary soils produce distinctive earthy, mineral pinot noir.
