Yangarra Estate Vineyard

Yangarra Estate sits on 180 acres of McLaren Vale including the McShane Vineyard block of ancient Grenache (planted circa 1946). Peter Fraser crafts biodynamic McLaren Vale wines of exceptional restraint and elegance — far from the blockbuster style. High Sands is produced from pre-phylloxera Grenache on rare deep sand over limestone, creating some of Australia's most delicate and complex Grenache expressions.

Yangarra's High Sands Grenache is considered Australia's greatest Grenache expression — consistently scoring 96-98 from James Halliday. The biodynamic farming and ancient McShane Vineyard fruit has elevated McLaren Vale's Grenache reputation internationally.
