Château du Tariquet

Armagnac, France
Château du Tariquet is Gascony's largest estate, producing both Côtes de Gascogne white wines and Bas-Armagnac brandy under the Grassa family since 1912. The estate's continuous alembic still and aging cellar — with barrels ranging from 5 to 40 years — produces Armagnac of exceptional depth and accessibility. The vintage-dated expressions from exceptional years are among the most collected French brandies outside Cognac.
Château du Tariquet is Armagnac's most internationally recognised producer after Darroze — their vintage Bas-Armagnac expressions have won international competition gold consistently. The estate demonstrates that Bas-Armagnac, distilled in continuous alembic (unlike Cognac's pot still), produces spirits of extraordinary terroir complexity.
