Philosophy
The Gini family has farmed the volcanic basalt hillsides of Soave Classico for four generations. Their La Froscà — from a single volcanic-soil vineyard at 150m — is considered alongside Pieropan's Calvarino as the finest expression of indigenous Garganega. The estate works exclusively with old-vine Garganega (70+ years) on pergola Veronese training, producing wines that demonstrate Soave's potential for complexity, mineral depth, and longevity.
Reputation
Gini La Froscà is consistently considered one of Italy's greatest white wines — the volcanic Soave Classico terroir and ancient Garganega vines produce a wine of Burgundy-level complexity and a 10-year aging curve. Decanter's Soave coverage consistently rates Gini as the region's benchmark alongside Pieropan.
