Château Trinquevedel
Philosophy
Château Trinquevedel is one of Tavel's most historic estates — the Demoulin family have farmed their 28 hectares since the 17th century, producing what many consider France's greatest rosé appellation. Unlike Provence rosé, Tavel is made entirely from red varieties (Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, Mourvèdre) without restriction on colour extraction — Trinquevedel's traditional maceration produces a deep salmon-orange rosé of extraordinary body and complexity. The wine is one of France's few rosés capable of aging 5-10 years.
Reputation
Château Trinquevedel is cited by Jancis Robinson and Wine Advocate as Tavel's most consistent traditional producer — demonstrating why France's only entirely rosé appellation deserves serious attention from fine dining sommeliers. Their wines develop extraordinary secondary complexity over 5+ years, positioning Tavel as a serious food wine, not merely a summer aperitif.
