Tim and Jane Lyons's Mount Barker estate — one of the Great Southern's oldest vineyards, planted in 1965 — producing benchmark Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon from the ancient red laterite soils of the Mount Barker sub-region. Forest Hill's Block 1 Riesling is considered the Great Southern's most distinctive Riesling expression.
