The producer that triggered the Primitivo di Manduria collector revolution — Pervini's Sessantanni (60-year-old vines) launched in 2009 demonstrated that ancient alberello Primitivo from Manduria's terra rossa could produce wines of genuine complexity and international stature. The Sessantanni has been placed on the lists of Italy's finest restaurants and has made Pervini the most globally recognized Primitivo di Manduria name.
