The most celebrated estate in Irouléguy — Michel and Thérèse Riouspeyrous's biodynamic domain on steep schist terraces above the village of Irouléguy. Their Tannat-based Haitza and Hegoxuri reds are among the finest expressions of mountain Tannat in France, showing the variety's capacity for complexity and elegance when grown on schist at altitude. The estate is a benchmark for natural, terroir-driven wine in the Basque Pyrenees.
