Domaine Ilarria

Irouléguy, France
Peio Espil's small biodynamic estate on the French-Spanish Basque border, producing intensely mineral Irouléguy from ancient schist terraces. Ilarria's wines are some of the appellation's most traditional and intense — long maceration Tannat reds and pure, aromatic Manseng whites that reflect the extreme altitude and Atlantic maritime influence of the Pyrenean foothills.
