One of Jumilla's largest and most consistently excellent producers, producing Monastrell wines from 40–80 year old vines across multiple price levels. The Juan Gil 12 Meses (aged 12 months in oak) is one of Spain's most extraordinary quality-value propositions — a wine of genuine complexity from old ungrafted vines at a fraction of the price of comparable Rhône or Italian wines. The family also produces the El Nido prestige cuvée (with a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon).
