Alaverdi Monastery Saperavi Kakheti

Kakheti, Georgia
From one of the world's oldest continuously producing wine estates — Saperavi grown on Alaverdi's historic vineyards and fermented traditionally in qvevri. Saperavi is one of the world's rare naturally teinturier varieties (red flesh as well as skin), producing wines of near-black depth and dense tannic structure. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, leather, dark chocolate, dried herbs, and earth — powerful, traditional, and ancient in character.
complement
