Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru
Chambolle-Musigny, France
About this product
Frédéric Mugnier's 0.5-hectare parcel in Le Musigny — one of the great Burgundy unicorns. Around 800 bottles per year. The philosophy is absolute minimalism — whole-cluster fermentation, native yeasts, no new oak, no additions. The wine is astonishingly pale and translucent yet achingly complex. Considered by many sommeliers to be the finest red wine on earth at its peak — around 15 years from vintage. BC: auction only.

Wild duck's iron-red fruit character bridges Mugnier Musigny's cherry-violet register; endive's bitterness provides tension; cherry reduction mirrors the wine's fruit directly
