Guffens-Heynen Mâcon-Pierreclos Chavigne AOC

Mâcon-Villages AOC, France
Jean-Marie Guffens (of Verget négociant fame) produces his finest estate wine from the limestone outcrop of Pierreclos — a single-village expression of Mâconnais terroir at its most mineral. Pale straw with a nose of lemon cream, white flower, crushed chalk, and the distinctive Mâconnais honey-mineral character. The palate is precise and linear with clean acidity and a long, mineral finish.
