Hacienda Durius Juan García Arribes DO

Arribes DO, Spain
Juan García is a rare indigenous Arribes variety found only in this corner of Castile-León and Portugal. Produces wines of medium body, bright red fruit, and distinctive floral notes (dried violet, geranium) unusual in Spanish red wine. From granite canyon-edge parcels: medium ruby with aromas of sour cherry, dried violet, and granitic mineral. The palate is fresh and lively with moderate tannins and a persistent floral-mineral finish.
