About this product
The flagship Le Cèdre from Château du Cèdre, produced from old-vine Malbec (Côt) on the first terrace of chalky clay above the Lot River in Cahors. The Le Cèdre represents the estate's finest expression of Cahors terroir — deeply coloured, concentrated, and structured with the mineral austerity and dark fruit intensity characteristic of Lot Valley Malbec at its best. Unlike Argentine Malbec, Cahors Malbec shows greater tannic structure, mineral tension, and austere complexity that requires significant cellaring — 8–15 years for the Le Cèdre — to fully integrate.
