Nuits-Saint-Georges

Commercial capital of the Côte de Nuits. No Grand Crus but many excellent Premier Crus. Structured, earthy, meaty Pinot Noir — slower to open than northern neighbours. Henri Gouges is the benchmark domaine. The négociant tradition (Faiveley, Moillard) is centred here.
